Q: I need to buy a laptop and could use a little advice. What I plan to use the laptop for - itunes, shopping, paying bills, email, basic things like that.I don't play games or watch movies, etc. I don't want to spend a fortune on a lot of things I don't need... but also don't want to get a cheap laptop that is slow and annoying. What should I be looking for? Processor, hard drive, memory, etc? Also if you have suggestions on a particular brand that'd be great too. I have a Dell for my work laptop, but open to any. Thanks!
A: Ok the basic stats you are looking for are as follows: Processor: anything with duel cores or better Hard drive: get a 160Gig+ HD Get at least 1 gig of RAM (memory) if you are going to run vista get 2 gigs I would check out the laptops on dell.com/outlet, they are refurbished but they come with the same warranty that a new dell does. I have gotten 2 of these for family members in the last month
