Q: when ever i close the laptop and open it back up, it either goes to the select user page or the screen is blank and it's in sleep mode. how do i make it so when i start up the comnputer it just automatically starts up (no user seletion page) and how do i make it so when i close and open it up it just stays normal??? btw i have windows vista if it matters.... A: go to control panel-power options-edit plan settigns, then click on change advanced power settings now change ur settings to how u want them for the user accounts type cmd into start and right click on it and select run as administrator (press continue if needed) type net user now type-> net user guest /active:no the command completed succesfully thats how it should look, but change guest to user account if u need additional help, ill help u more via email
