Q: Is there such a thing as a mouse/ball that I can insert into my USB laptop... that doesn't require any flat deskspace to use? I need one that stays put, won't move. Basically, instead of using the stationary mouse pad on my laptop, I want to use a stationary usb mouseball/2 button. Hope that makes sense :/ I loathe my touchpad - not b/c of the settings.. I just hate the way it's designed, so I'd love to find a mouse like that ^^. A lot of times, I have *no deskspace or any flat surface* to move around an external mouse. ***that requires NO flat surface .... NO deskspace*** that just sticks out of the laptop side from the USB port***
A: They're called trackballs. I've tried a bunch and the only decent ones I've found are the high end Kensingtons.
