Q: Since the last two days, whenever I turn it on, I get a blue screen saying "One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency"..and then everything works fine later. But why am I getting this message? It's a Gateway laptop and I bought it in October 2006.
A: your laptop is full , try to uninstall programs which you no need , put picture ,movie and documents in cd or dvd (burn) ,after that right click with each disk (C , D ...) - click properties - tools - defragment now -click on disk -defragment . good luck!
