Q: They both have 80gb. They were both upgraded from 512 mb ram to 1gb ram My vista is from a year ago and my XP is from almost 4 years ago version 2002. Why is it that my XP computer is so much better, it loads faster, and is more efficient. What can I do to improve my vista laptop? i already have an external hard drive that i moved my files into. 15 gb are used up in my vista drive but I can't seem to find what is using up that space.
A: You can try this software called tuneup utilities 2008 it works with vista . it give you more space and better start-up time.Some the space used by vista stuff not need like copies of old files and updates not need.I had a 40 gig hard drive and 25 gigs were used by vista. but i used the software and it freed about 10gigs. you can use it also on the XP computer too. just download the trial version
