Q: I am getting a Dell ispiron 1525 but i cannot decide if i want 2 or 3gb of memory. I use my computer for mostly music and casual internet browsing. is 2 enough or would 3 be better?
A: For simply music and internet browsing you absolutely do not need more than 2GB. You would even get by with 1GB. Obviously the more the merrier in terms of speed, etc BUT for what you need I wouldnt worry too much. Vista can also utilise USB memory pen drives that are ready boost certified to help speed you laptop up. My girlfiends laptop has 1Gb which is perfect for what she used it for and the ready boost pen drive makes a noticible difference on this system when needed. ****Why has someone given me a thumbs down when this answer is spot on? 4GB for browsing the net and listening to tunes? You absolutely do not need 3 or 4GB to listen to a few tunes and browse the net. --------
