Q: The Mac is ours at home and the PC is a dell I use at work. I have an external harddrive but it only holds about 5GB, not even a quarter of my music. Is there a way to somehow zip my music into a smaller file? Or some easier way to get my itunes playlists and star ratings from my mac at home to my work PC?
A: I'm assuming you already know where all your music files are and that you cant just copy the songs directly from iTunes. Get a freeware program called 7zip to zip them together. That wont make it so you can fit everything in the flash drive, but it will help make it smaller. Just zip 5 gigs of music a day and bring them to work with you.
