Q: Hi, i have a dell inspiron 1501 laptop running vista. i am looking into totally rebooting to factory defaults my laptop. if anyone could give me a guide that would be so helpful. i do not need anything on it i want it basically out of the box. also big problem i do NOT have the disk that came with it. is it possible?
A: yes this is possible but you will have to make the disk. google vista iso and burn the image to a disk. Then enter the bios and under the boot menu change it to boot from cd and that should be it.
