Core 2 duo vs Centrino 2 vs vpro?

Q: which is better spec wise out of those 3 and please don't just say get a quad core or something.

A: The term "centrino" is a bit confusing, and Intel are idiots for choosing to do it this way, BUT... There are (were) an line of CPU's called Centrino and there is currently "Centrino", shall we call it "Design" for lack of a better word... A "modern" laptop with a Centrino sticker on it, will probably have a Core 2 duo processor in it, not an older "centrino" processor... To be called a "centrino" it has to meet certain requirements for performance and power savings... This usually includes an Intel wireless network card and "now" a Core 2 Duo processor... Why intel decided to do this is beyond me, but what's done is done... If you buy a "centrino" computer that has a Core 2 Duo processor, you'll have the C2D processor AND intel wireless card, and decent battery life due to decent design of the system and components.
