Q: I have a desktop computer, and I have a router, can I install it to my desk top so guests can have access to internet with their laptops? Obviously, I'm not real knowledgeable with computers.
A: Set up a wireless network if the router has wireless networking. Enable security (perferably WPA) and set a simple passphrase. Tell your guests to log in with that passphrase. This way, they'll be pretty secure and only your guests will be accessing the network. If there's no wireless networking, plug ethernet cables into the router.
