Q: hi, i have windows vista home basic, and today when i went to turn it on it started and had the blank black screen that said "windows is loading" on the bottom with a green loading bar as it always does, then the screen goes blank and it usually does the same thing about 5 times. then when i get passed that the screen goes totally black and these multi-colored dots start to appear on the screen. so basically i can not even get onto the log-on screen. and today this morning my virus protection expired and my laptop wasnt protected for about 8 hours. please help me i want to know if its a horrible virus or if i got hacked please help. thanks you By the way my computer is a silver compaq presario C500
A: try pressing Fn+F5...if that doesnt work...then, try bringin it to a technical person or techie guy or somethin' what brand is yours anyway?
