Q: I have an acer aspire 5720Z laptop and when i first bought it (December 9th 2007) empowering technology had all the widgets working and the "e" button would work. Now and for a very long time only 2 widgets actually work eAudio and ePresentation By work i mean i can click it, the other widgets have some sort of symbol like a do not enter sign Ive checked for programs and they are installed. And now the "e" button doesnt even work the only way to go to empowering technology is by getting it through the shortcut in start. I have Vista Home Premium by the way. You want to post the question as you have above with emphasis on your frustration and lack of understanding. I mean, who cares as long as you get a solution right? Appealing to their Tech Kung Fu is the best way to get quick help. Failing that call Acer they will probably charge you an Incident fee, but that beats hours of frustration and not being able to do what you want on your lappy. Good luck!
