Q: My Powerbook keeps making this sound and won't turn on. When I press th power button the screen stays black and does the original sound then beeps two or three times. What's wrong and how can I fix it.
A: Use this: 1 beep = no RAM installed 2 beeps = incompatible RAM types 3 beeps = no good banks 4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block) 5 beeps = processor is not usable Either your Ram is not compatible or the ram slots have gone bad (a typical problem of the aluminum powerbook). By the way, is it a Titanium or Aluminum Powerbook
