Q: for some reason, all of a sudden my lap top wont detect or pick up and connect to my own personal wireless network in my house. my sister has a laptop too and hers can connect to my wireless network, but for some reason mine wont. although my laptop wont detect my own wireless network, it can pick up the neighbors for some reason. and so right now im using my neighbors wireless network but it doesnt have good connection and is really inconsistent. do you have any idea what the reason is that my laptop cant detect and connect to my own wireless network? and yes my wireless internet assistant on my laptop is turned on, so thats not the problem. my laptop did this same thing yesterday, but all of a sudden last night my laptop detected my own wireless network again. thought that might be important i have a built in wireless thingy in my laptop, so i dont use a wireless card
A: First, check online for software updates for your computer (my Compaq had a similar problem) Second, right click on the wireless assistant and hit repair to refresh any network info on the computer.
