A: Vista takes 1gig alone to run, if you plan on playing games or anything like that you will want 2gigs. Think of it this way, you have 1gig to run your OS and 512mb for anything else. Make sure you don't just go and buy any 1gb ram. You have to match speeds and type. Example i had 2x1gb sticks that were Corsair. I bought 2 more 1gb sticks that matched the specs. Speed, Latency, Timing, Voltage. you get the picture.
