Q: Hey everyone, First of all I know that this has been asked before, but I needed to get an updated answer. I know that they are running the promotion right now where you get the free ipod with the macbook, which makes it pretty enticing right now. However, I was just wondering if there are any plans or rumors about apple revamping the macbook in the near future. I heard about them changing the style and look of the macbook, but is there any indication of a major overhaul to the processor speeds or anything like that? If there is, how soon can this be expected. Basically, I want to know if I am going to buy a macbook now, and then in a month find out a new one has been released that is much faster, for the price I just paid for this one. Seems like that happens a lot with apple. Thanks!
A: I'd say wait. I've been reading lots of rumors lately about a redesign for all the portable macbooks. Also, macrumors.com says to wait. They've been fairly accurate in the time I've been reading the site (Apple's pretty notorious about release date secrecy, as you probably already know). As for promotions, Apple usually has promotions like this for students. I don't know if you are one, but that's another thing to consider.
