Q: Can't I have a dual OS installed so i can have both Mac and MS? I like mac's features with the movie and firefox, but i need the MS side of things with Word and other business programs. Also, I need it to be affordable. so i guess the best for the lowest price possible before entering crap land. i mainly use my computer for internet,e-mail, gaming, and watching movies. I would prefer to buy it in a store, NOT ONLINE. I live in indianapolis, Indiana. thanks.
A: let me just say something. macs don't have better hardware, they just use it slightly better. anyways, macs also don't use firefox better, and i guess imovie is good for a beginner. macs are not affordable, they usually cost atleast $300 more. if you ask mac owners why they are better, they can usually come up with that they have os x. yes for mmorpg's can go on mac os, but only WoW and such. no smalltime titles. fortunately, i can tell you that hp, asus, and dell all make great computers. my cousin has a 1 year old dell that runs just like the day he got it, my friend has a $1200 asus that can handle crysis, and I'm typing this on a 4 year old hp that can handle oblivion. vista has been regarded as glitchy and terrible, but as long as you have a decent computer to run it, it really is awesome. macs also now have viruses, just so you know. my father's macbook from last year got a virus, and apple wouldn't fix it because "there were no viruses for mac", even though some system files were missing. if you want a laptop that will run what you need to run, let me recommend you some. hp dv5t/dv5z dell xps 1530 asus F3Ka good hunting.
