Q: My HP laptop won't start up for some reason. Here's how the problem strated.I'm using windows vista. I entered my user password and windows starts up, it opens up to the desktop and then the computer's frozen. So i press the power button to try to reboot it but Windows doesn't start. The screen is completly blank but the power light is on. Can anyone help me with this problem? Has this ever happen to u?
A: Unplug it. Take the battery out. Turn it right side up and press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Wait a 2 minutes. Replace battery. Plug in the laptop. Try starting as usual. Wait through any freezes at least 10 minutes. Once it's fully "up" and you're looking at your desktop, shut it down normally. Start it up again. Is it OK now?
