Help Selling My Laptop?

Q: I have a couple questions in one. 1) How do I go about just wiping out my entire laptop so when I sell it the person that gets it can start fresh? 2) Where's the best place to sell a laptop fairly quickly? Ebay? Craigslist? Another site? 3) My laptop is really nice and I like it, but I'm getting a new one so I want to sell this one. The only thing is that its a bit damaged, nothing too major. I'm still using it. I don't know how to describe it exactly, but the hinges that open and close the laptop got kind of stuck and then the casing that holds the screen detached so I have to prop something behind it to make the screen stay up. Will this hinder selling it? I've asked local computer repair places and its a quick fix and the piece that needs to be bought isn't expensive, I just don't have time to do it. 4) About how much can I sell an Acer Aspire 9410 that's exactly 1 year old with normal wear and tear and the damage noted above? It has a built in webcam, 17 in screen, and numeric keypad.

A: 1. Easiest is to just remove your personal data but most people reinstall the operating system 2. Someplace local is best where you can hand it over and get your cash in hand. Next to that Craigslist and eBay 3. That will drastically drop the price. No one wants to buy your damaged goods. You want the most for it, take the time and have it fixed or someone will want a super deal no matter how cheap mor easy the fix. 4. I can buy a never used demo for $450 in excellent shape (like new). So yours would be less.
