Q: My laptop charger does not work now. It's about a year since I bought it. Whenever I plug it in, I need to wiggle the cord around so it will charge. Most times I end up holding the cord in a vertical position so it will charge. Sometimes (like now) the laptop will show on the task bar that it is plugged in but won't charge. What can I do to fix this? Could I buy a new charger to fix this?
A: Seems like the wiring inside your charger cable is broken. By wiggling the cord around, you are temporarily reconnecting the loose ends of the broken wire. Easiest solution would be to pick up a new charger from the manufacturer.
