Q: I am going out to buy a laptop today from circut city. I really do not know a lot about computers. Could anyone tell me some important things to ask the guy to decide which computer I need. I will be using it at my college most of the time. It needs to be fast and less than 800 tips? internet connection? how does that go does that cost extra for internet wireless? please help need to know NOT LOOKING FOR AN APPLE. i am and will buy a laptop at circuit city. A: Hi, You should look for the following things: 1. Make sure the RAM is atleast 1GB or upgradable to 1GB at little cost. 2. Make sure the notebook is light, and portable. You wouldn't want to be lugging around a bulky heavy laptop. 3. Ensure your laptop is wi-fi enabled (wireless internet enabled). 4. Make sure it has AT LEAST 2 USB ports. More the merrier! 5. Make sure your notebook comes with some Windows OS. Preferably MS Office too. 6. I would suggest a Lenovo as they are usually the best value for money. Thats about it!
