Q: do Mac's have good battery lifes? am i goin to have to buy an extra battery? also im goin into college for general AA... will the Mac be more helpful than a PC? im going to use it for research and writing papers mostly... am i only going to need to buy Office Word 2008 to be able to write papers or am i going to need other programs for college?
A: I love macs as I buy a a lot of them. Well Mac will definatly be better then a pc faster clock speed and processor. Actually you won't have to buy Word 2008 :) Buy iLife 08 and you will have a word application right with the package. iLife also comes with any new Mac. Writing papers is what I use mine for the keyboard is easy and quiet and lights up on the newer models. " Macbook pro" There a great Computer, and 78 percent of College kids use Mac Over Pc and 87 Like Mac's Better then Pc's even the Pc owners. As far as collage goes and what your majoring in seems like a lot of internet research and book reading and writing MAC is perfect. Hope I help bro.
