Q: well i was cleaning my room and by accident my cup of sprite that was on my desk fell and i freaked out and im using like this other keyboard and now the z or b and like 3 more letters doesnt work and like if i press O it turns out to be 6 its weird... and now im using like this other keyboard like i put the laptop on top and i use the one on the bottom so my question is how much is it to fix it..?? if they can..!! and what should i do about it..? please help!!
A: Before you bring it in the repair shop there is one thing you can try and it may work. This will not damage the keyboard or laptop if you decide to give it a go. Go to an electronic store such as Radio Shack or the Source, Wallmart etc...and get a can of Electrical contact cleaner in a compressed can. Canadian Tire may have them under MotoMaster Electronic contact Cleaner. Attach the little red plastic tube to the nozzle of the can and spray where the keys are not working. The product is a cleaner it dissolve and dries almost instantly. it will not cause any damge as long as you don't go to close to the contacts with the tube. Just put it between the keys and not all the way in and spray. After you are done cleaning. use a compressed air can to blow air in between the keys but without the plastic tube. This should release and blow out any particles that the cleaner dissolved and left stuck in there. If that doesn't fix it then bring it to a repair shop. Meanwhile you can plug a regular desktop keyboard either in the back of the laptop if it's a serial connector or if it's a Usb connector in the Usb port and it will work just fine until you fix the one on your laptop
