Q: Okay so i have a Compaq Presario laptop and for about a month i think it has been, i plug in my computer and it stays at 1 percent...and if you unplug it the computer dies so in order to use it the charger needs to be plugged in. I tried restarting my computer, shutting it down, taking out the battery and putting it back in, keeping it charge for a while..but it won't charge! What should i do?
A: How old is the laptop? My guess is your battery need to be replaced.... Over time laptop batteries can hold less and less charge until eventually they can hold no charge at all...... If your laptop is under warranty contact Compaq/HP as they may send you a new battery for free..... Otherwise go and buy a new battery for your laptop.... Good Luck!
