Q: i bought a toshiba laptop almost a year ago and the thing is a huge pain. the computer would sometimes die for no reason after using it for a while. it ran extremely slowly (i'm inclined to think this is because vista was installed on it). the power cord has gotten hot enough to be too hot to touch with the bare hand. my bf bought me more ram, and somehow that messed the computer up (my bf knows how to work on computers so it wasn't his error) and we ended up having to order a recovery disc and my hard drive was wiped clean (drats!) and now the power cord isn't working to charge my battery. is toshiba normally this sucky as a laptop? mine is very iffy about limewire too. shearaza didn't work at all on it and the limewire has been acting up lately also.
A: yeh! mine does exactly the same!!! it always dies for no reason whatsoever and sometimes it doesnt turn back on. the power cable is roasting most of the time and i've had to wipe the hard drive and start again twice.It also used to stop my internet. Apparantly it;s cos they're not made for a lot of use, more like just for presentations in offices and only using a wee bit. Really wouldn't recomend one! hope that helps!
