Q: I want to start saving up for a laptop. I want a good one, but that doesnt cost too much. But I want tips on how to buy it. like as of now I would use it for: Sims [i love this game, and would have all the stuff downloaded onto teh computer] and downloading pictures from my camera on it. and writing papers and maybe internet. links are great. and so is advice.

A: Go to any of the major computer manufacturer's websites, and you can configure your own laptop online. You don't have to enter any information, just start playing around with your computer's components. The cost will be calculated as you make changes. Cost too much? Don't need wifi, take off the wifi modem, pick a smaller hard drive, etc... And as you navigate through the site(s) you'll notice that they will feature computers that are good for office work, games, etc., so this will help you make up your mind. Have fun!
