Q: I was wondering if uploading too many pictures will slow my laptop down. is it a good idea?there are 500 pics. the last computer i had crashed and i had a ton of pics on therew to. I lost all those pics.sniff sniff. i was smarter now and have them on cds.like i said i wantyed to see if it was good idea
A: So long as you have enough hard drive space, no. You're welcome to load as many pictures as you want. Of note, make sure you have a chunk of free space, Windows uses some hard drive space as a swap file (essentially using the space as RAM when it needs more than the system has). If you load it up so you only have 3 MB left on the drive, yeah it'll run slow. Generally it's a good idea to have at least 1.5 times your system RAM free for a swap file.
