Q: At random times it will turn one solid color, like the basic color of whatever page I was last on. If I am listening to music, I can still hear it, but the screen stays blank and the only thing I can do to fix it is restart. Any idea what's going on / how to fix this??? =(
A: first, update your video card driver. If it continues you'll probably have ot reinstall windows. also, if you have a VGA or DVI port on the back of the laptop connect a desktop monitor to it and see if it does the same thing. if it does it's your video card freaking out and will need to be replaced (if updating the driver and/or reinstalling windows didn't have any effect). if the monitor does not have the same problems it's the lcd and that will have to be replaced.
