Q: I'm going to get a laptop and i want to get a wireless internet card... Does Embarq provides any cards???? Since i'm already an Embarq customer can i just buy the internet card and i'll get internet from the one i have in my house????? or do i have to get a new contract for my laptop only????? help plzzzzzzz!!!
A: Hello coolkid, I had a chance to read your message. If you need a PCI wireless adapter for you laptop we do offer those through Embarq. That card will allow you to connect to you local network if you have a wireless router installed or a gateway all-in-one device. You will not need another contract for your laptop with that setup. If you are looking for a wireless internet card to use as a standalone internet connection through Embarq wireless service (cell), we offer those cards as well. However we may be making changes to how Embarq provides wireless (cell) services. Therefore, we cannot guarantee to you today that we will continue providing wireless (cell) service indefinitely. Should we change our wireless (cell) services I can assure you that you will be contacted and given ample time and opportunity to choose another wireless (cell) company.
