Q: I need to restore my Acer 3100 laptop. Here's some info: 1. I cannot get to the Windows XP start-up screen. I only get as far as the white and teal "Acer" screen. 2. After the Acer screen comes up, a black screen that says: Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 082) Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation For Realtek RTL8139(X)/8130/810X PCI Fast Ethernet Controller v2.13 (020326) PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable PXE-M0F" Existing PXE ROM. I cannot get past this screen. 3. I do have some restore discs, and I have put the first one in, but it doesn't do anything. ALSO, is there a button (or combination of buttons) that you can press to restore the computer from where I am stuck? Thank-you in advance for your assistance!
A: Try going here and following these steps. This is straight from the acer support website so it should be credible.
