Q: It's driving I nuts!!
A: You can't disable it, but this might help. Control Panel > Accessibility Options > Tick the Use Toggle Keys box > Apply > OK. This now gives you a warning beep when you (like me) hit CAPS LOCK instead of SHIFT. (It also gives a beep on NUM LOCK and SCROLL LOCK.)
