OK.. I have an old Armada E500 lap top...?

Q: I have researched it as well as I can and still have no answers. How do I hook this old laptop to my tv? The ports I think would work don't, and I would really love it if someone could tell me how to upgrade this computer. I could spend about a $100.oo on it. Maybe a little more memory and a few more gigs? Also, I would like to say that I asked a previous question tonight and I received answers very quick. Much better than "askmehelpdesk.com" Thanks!!

A: Use the TV-out port (video signal only). You would need to hook up the audio output of the laptop to a sound/speaker system. If it does not work, try updating your graphics driver. Possible upgrades: 1. Increase RAM, maximum is 512Mb. That size can handle Win XP. 2. Since original hard drive has a small capacity, invest on an external USB hard drive which can be readily used on other PCs. It is not wise to invest on an internal drive for an old machine. Maintain your OS on the internal drive then put your files, MP3s and videos on the external drive. 3. If you've still got good battery life and plans to take that laptop around, consider a wi-fi adapter (PCI card or USB). Forget gaming on its graphics card that is weak for 3D.
