Help! Why can't I install soundmax on my computer? ?

Q: Ok, I just installed Windows XP. I tried to install soundmax, and it would not install because there's no driver. What's that supposed to mean? Help!!!! I know there's no driver. How do I get it? Where do I install it? Sources please.

A: First, I'd need to know what make and model laptop you have. I mean, you are probably correct that you should be installing SoundMax... but for all I know, you might have a RealTek sound card built into that unit. With the make and model laptop, I could then go to the manufacturer's website, and look up the exact sound card drivers that you have to download... which you could then download and install. So, maybe that is what you need to do. Go to the website of the company that makes your laptop, and go to their support/downloads section http://www.dell.com http://www.hp.com (hp and compaq) http://www.gateway.com http://www.emachines.com http://www.toshiba.com http://www.acer.com http://www.asus.com http://www.fujitsu.com http://www.sony.com You know who makes your laptop, not me (or us). Pick one. For all I know, it's a desktop.
