Q: If someone handed you $1500 bucks, what is the best gaming pc you would build with it? Feel free to be under budget haha Cheers Including monitor... Not including keyboard/mouse... If i need to get keyboard/mouse they wouldnt be gaming ones..

A: AU$1500 is just under $1200 American. Sorry thinking out loud. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157129 Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115017 CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231148 4gigs of ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136073 Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102795 Graphics card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116488 Vista x64bit That system isn't going to leave you much headroom for a monitor. But it is a good gamer. I didn't include a case because everyone's flavor is differant, but you do need one with 3 case fans inside. The build I chose was Intel based x48 system which will support DDR2 or DDR3 and a good DDR2 800 because software is still running faster on 800 than most other ram specs today. My build came up to $960 and still no case. That is the basic system I have right now, but I will tell you that my 9600 Phenom is just as good of a system as this q6600 with the same 4870 graphics card give or take a few futuremark points. If you never plan to crossfire you can also opt for a P45 board, but if you try to crossfire on those boards their second PCIEx16 slot only runs @ x8 mode, slowing your second graphics controller down to half speed. Hope you a great build!
