My computer fan is producing alot of noise and disturbing sound?

Q: When i turn on my pc,the fan of either the power supply or the cpu produces alot of noise and then it goes quiet after a minute or so...whats the problem and is it serious or I shall i ingore it? thanks

A: Seems like one of the moving parts in your computer is damaged, most likely a fan, you should just take a peak inside you computer and see if anything is damaged. When your case is open turn your computer on check if the noise is directly coming from your CPU fan (fan on the mother board) if not check the one with your power supply (the box to the to the upper left) you will locate the fan on the upper back off the case (not inside). If you've decided were its coming from you should replace the part unless you can live with the noise. power supply ($30-$80) if you read a guide you could take out you old one and swap it.CPU fan($15-$30) you would want someone skilled with computers to replace this for you it could harm your CPU and depending on the type of fan it could require taking the motherboard out. Also don't be scared about opening your computer just simply dont touch anything inside.
