I have been looking at a computer but it doesn't tell me the processing speed.? Do you know.?

Q: AMD ATHLON 64*2 / 5000+ PROCESSOR. 2GIG DDR2 With Nvidia 8400 on board. Just wondering if anyone knows what kind of processing speed it may have and would i be able to run most, if not all games out right now.,

A: Technically, AMD Athlon X2 5000+ does tell you the processing speed, but if you look at the retail version here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103211 , you'll see it's 2.6 GHz with a dual core. That CPU will handle pretty much all the current games and then some. The Nvidia 8400 GPU, however, is pretty anemic for gaming. You really want something better. At least an 8800. Look at Tom's Hardware VGA charts at http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/desktop-vga-charts/3dmark06-v1-0-2-hdr-sm3-0-score,538.html?p=1602%2C1600%2C1590%2C1616%2C1612%2C1599%2C1615%2C1594%2C1595%2C1593%2C1592%2C1642%2C1636%2C1578%2C1640%2C1634%2C1609%2C1588%2C1587%2C1580%2C1639%2C1610%2C1576%2C1633%2C1632%2C1638%2C1631%2C1604%2C1607%2C1571%2C1575%2C1630%2C1569%2C1627%2C1629%2C1567 and also their latest graphics card articles at http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/Components,1/Graphics-Cards,4/ Especially look at the monthly "best video cards for the money" such as the one for August at http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-graphics-card,1987.html
