Q: When i try to turn on my desktop, it starts up normally and then goes to the screen saying that a problem may have occured and it gives me an option like just start windows normally or enter safe mode etc. and it won't let me go to the main page to log in under my account b/c once i click on an option like start windows normally, it brings up the windows XP logo and resumes start up as normal but then it resets itself everytime! What do i do? Also if i put the windows XP CD while it attempts to boot up, will it ask me if i want to reinstall XP? If it does, will it delete everything on my computer?
A: firstly your computer didnt crash its working fine secondly, there is nothing unsual in getting the screen of the start windows normally or enter safe mode.. some alteration might have been there in the dll file.. but no need to panic.. everything is fine.. thridly, yes when you try to install the xp again it will give you option to format the system or leave the files.. if you choose format the system.. all the contents in the drive will be lost and a fresh copy of the xp is installed.
