Q: "Following configuration options were automatically updated" Disk: 20496 MB FUJITSU MPF 3204AT hello, My problem is that every time I reboot, start my computer or come out of hibernate I get stalled with this message: "Following configuration options were automatically updated"? Disk: 20496 MB FUJITSU MPF 3204AT if you are running unix you need to configure your system using the computer tetup utility (F10) and it just wont go any further than that - it wont boot. it takes me to the windows XP logo and it wont go any further....it keeps on doing that every time...how ever, i tried it in safe mode, and it did boot up but it's very slow!... what can be wrong with it? is it the power suppy? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I am at a total loss here. Thanks so much in advance! i am running home XP and using a COMPAQ SC - 148F

A: Enter into the bios by press the key F10, make sure your IDe devices are configured properly, then save and exit. When win enter press F8 and select Safemode this only for repair purposes and not to run like Normal, mode, there go to Mycomputer,c:\;right click it then Properties,Tools,Scandisk and mark the two boxes, then okey, and reestart the pc so this utility can run. It sound like you HD start to failing, get you a new one soon(Western digital) of 100mg for about $40.00 and clone the all one with WD software, get new drivers for you compaq in their site, and if you have the CD of XP and RUN: you type cmd and press enter, there you can run sfc/scannow that look for corrupt drivers and replace with originals from the CD, they also have the command fixboot and fixmbr that repair the boot and the master boot record.
