Q: I know I need a sata driver on floppy disk. I have a floppy disk drive but I lost the floppy disk. What can I do to find out what driver I need and can I use another method besides floppy disk?
A: Actually, you do not need a floppy sata driver. For most newer mainboards it should pick up the SATA hard drive just fine. Depending on what windows system you are using, it may show it in a diminished capacity, but don't worry, just set up the partition size you want for your system drive, and you can use the disk management tool after installation to partition the rest of your drive. If you have an older mainboard (aka motherboard), you will need to have the motherboard drivers disk. It is the same disk you get with your motherboard. If you don't have that disk, and your motherboard does not automatically pick up your SATA hard drive, you will need to go online to your motherboard's manufacturer's website and find the correct driver from their support section.
