A: Fast at what? The Mac Pro answer isn't quite correct; it depends on what you are doing. If one dual-boots Vista on a Mac Pro, game performance will not be as good as high-end gaming machines, as the Mac Pros graphic card selection is limited -- you can't put a top-of-the-line, gaming-oriented GPU in a Mac Pro. Mac Pros are good for transcoding media files and editing video, but so is a PC with a quad core extreme and 8+ gigs of RAM running 64 bit Vista. If one really wants to go crazy with a gaming machine, one can easilly spend $10,000.
