Q: I just recently bought a new dell computer pc (windows vista) and it doesn't let me download my own programs for example photo shop or even software games...and it also doesn't let me download programs on line. The thing is I already bought the same pc before and it had the same problem so I returned it and got another one but it's the same thing all over again. Do I have to do anything specific so it could work? Im sorry..what Im trying to say is when I put in a cd of any program any at all when i try to install it nothing pops out for me to be able to install it. I do have internet but I don't understand what could be going on =/ My pc is new. Im the only administrator to my computer...
A: I don't why these answers are so mean. Copied this from the Windows Help and Support If you need more help just click Help on the Windows Start Menu and type in the question. Insert the disc into your computer and then follow the instructions on your screen. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Many programs installed from CDs or DVDs will attempt to launch an install wizard for the program automatically. In these cases, the Auto Play dialog box will appear and you can choose to run the wizard. For more information, see AutoPlay: frequently asked questions. If a program doesn't begin to install, check the information that came with the program. This information will likely provide instructions for installing the program manually. If you cannot access the program's information, you can also browse through the disc and open the program's setup file, usually called Setup.exe or Install.exe.
