Should i get a mac or PC, if so why?

Q: Ive been watching the adverts on apple.com I really need advice if i should get a mac or pc Thing is thou i dont see much software on internet for mac? What would be the downsides to the mac and the down sides to pc Thanks i may go with Mac, becuase of looks and media sound and other, feel free to add more things. for others to c in future! Thanks

A: It depends on what you want to do with the computer. If you want to do Media work (Graphic Design, Music, etc), then a Mac may be better. For anything else, eg Accountancy, Software Development, etc, then buy a PC. If you are working then it is probably best to get the same computer they use at your work, since that will probably run the software that you need to use better. There is a more limited range of software for the Mac. The Mac is still arguably easier to use, although there is not as much in it as there once was. However, it is easier to find someone who can help you with a PC. A PC is also likely to be cheaper than a Mac. If cost is paramount and you don't care about using the same software as everyone else then buy a PC with Linux.
