Q: Right now I am using thermaltake liquid cooling system in my armor lcs case and my vcore is 1.40 stable. My cpu temp is about 42c idle and 50c to 51c under load. I am not sure if my temp should be lower especially since I have liquid cooling. right now I have my fsb at 1600 and my ram at 800mhz I use 4gigs 2x2 ram and I am using a asus p5nd motherboard which is a 750i chipset so it is not notorious for overclocking abilities.
A: Like someone said. 1.5 is the rule of thumb for the Q6600. Temps are fine. I overclock everything. I wouldn't go over that 1.4 thou. Too much vcore causes cpu degradation regardless of how cool the temps are. That causes the cpu to gradually lose its overclocking capabilty. Q6600s max out around 3.6 even on water so you're doing fine, especially with a 750i chipset which, as you said, isn't gonna get the gold in the overclocking competition.
