But if you wipe your hard-drive, all your music, videos, pics, programs, documents, stuff like that would be totally destroyed. If you just want to free up disk space, try using your Disk Defragmenter or Disk Cleanup applications on your Control Panel ( go to the start menu, and on the right a thing should say Control Panel). So, it all depends on exactly what you want to do.
