Q: system: microsoft windows xp professional version 2002 service pack 2 computer: intel (r) pentium(r) 4, 3.0ghz 1.5ghz 248mb ram please explain in computer description, what is.. intel r? pentium r 4, 3.0ghz? 1.5ghz 248mb ram? thanks to all!!
A: Intel(r) is the brand name of your processor, Pentium(r) 4 is the model number, 3.0 GHz is the clock speed. The (r) is just an easy way of doing the "registered" (superscript r in a circle) symbol. I'm not sure what to do with the 1.5 GHz to be honest. Different computers display different information here (mine shows "rated" and "actual" clock speed, others show RAM speed). That number sounds a bit fast for RAM, but a bit slow for an actual clock speed. The 248 MB RAM is how much Random Access Memory your PC has available (I'm guessing it's a 256 MB chip). If you want to speed it up, add RAM.
