If I remove the jumpers from my hard drive, will my motherboard automatically switch from 1.5gb/s to 3.0?

Q: Or will I have to go into the BIOS and fix it? Running Asus Striker II Formula (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131255) and Seagate Barricuda (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148309) Thanks...I installed this hard drive recently and forgot that I left the jumpers in, so just want to know if I removed it if it will auto set it to 3.0 or I have to manually do it.

A: Taking the jumper off won't hurt anything, and assuming your motherboard supports SATA 3.0, then it will automatically go to 3.0 when you take the jumpers off. I checked your board and it has 6 SATA 3.0 ports, so your set.
