Q: my Fiance just purchased a new Asus Vento A8 desktop that had not operating system installed. We have windows XP home edition but cant seem to get it to work, we are going through everything and at the end when we reset the computer there is always an error of some kind. can anyone give me step by step to do it? any ideas on what we are doing wrong the operating system we have is brand new and has the license thingy with it. it gets to the end and reboots then we are still left with the problem that we cant us the computer. now it is just continuously restarting itself...
A: try deleting the partition and creating a new one there really isn't any thing that you can do wrong and the first person is only right if you XP home disk is a OEM. if its not an OEM disk then you can install it on another PC but you have to take it off the old PC cause the license is only good for 1 PC legally and reguardless of it being an OEM disk it would still work
