Q: ok so all i can see on my computer is my wallpaper .. nothing else.. no start button nothing .. no icons nothing.. but i can press ctrl alt delete and get task maneger up . and open things from there .. i have downloaded some porn ... i am a guy afther all... so i think i could be a virus .. but i have run tones of scans and its still not fixed .. and iv tryied deleting all my porn .. but that dint do anytrhing .. so i think maby i have to remove it from my receyoling bin . .bu ti cant open it .. so ya if anyone hase any segestions or help i would love it.. since im on my sis comp right now and parents are getting suspishous with my sudden lack in computer time .. usealy on it like 24 7..help!! but is just opening explorer.exe a temerary soluton or a preminet one?
A: It could be a virus stopping explorer.exe from running which is what runs all of your icons and your taskbar. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and then on the first tab, click on "New Task" then type in "explorer.exe" without the quotes. This should fix your problem unless the virus closes it again. *ADDED ON* It really depends on what the trojan is really doing. Once you start up explorer.exe you can download a free program that I use to try and remove the trojan. The program is called Spybot Search and Destroy. You can download it here: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/. From my experience it is able to locate and remove trojans.
