Q: i think its something to do with the sound card...because i was recording a song from the web and it only showed activity one the left side. i did the balance thing...and hooked up head phones to the comp for a listen..and only one works. did the same for the speakers to my ipod and both seem to work...stumped
A: No, I'm guessing it's the balance. Double click the speaker icon and check the main volumes, and the balances on all of the levels. Make them all the exact middle. If this doesn't work, check all the cables to make sure they are aligned properly. If both of these don't work, Right click My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager Look for sound, find your card, and update the driver to the latest one. If it doesn't even pop up, it's broken.
