Q: My computer really sucks.I've been using it just for months and now whenever I open a new window, and then I start to close it it always saying "window has stopped working" followed by "window's restarting". then all te windows that I opened VANISHED. I'm really confused what's goin on.I already cleaned all the viruses and cookies and I also tried fixing it but it wont work.help please..!
A: First try taking programs of the startup by going to to Start>Run, and type "msconfig." Then click the "Startup" tab, unclick the applications you don't want running on startup (like IE, AIM, AOL, etc) and when done click "Apply" once you exit out it will ask if you want to restart, you don't have to if you don't want. But, next time you startup it should pop-up that something was changed in msconfig, just check the box to not show this message again and click ok. But be VERY CAREFUL when unchecking items as to make sure you dont uncheck something important. Also you could try going under "Start>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup." More RAM could help too.
